Evidence checked September 23, 2026. Celebrity restaurant lists often blur a reported visit, a long-running association, and a one-night event. This guide labels the connection for each restaurant and does not treat an autograph wall or a social-media rumor as proof that someone is a regular.

Five Seoul restaurants stand out because the celebrity connection can be traced to official tourism material or established Korean reporting. They are very different meals: pork barbecue, oak-roasted chicken, a casual BTS-history stop, contemporary kimchi dining, and Pyeongyang-style cold noodles. Pick the food and neighborhood first. A celebrity sighting should never be part of the plan.

Geumdwaeji Sikdang: pork barbecue near Yaksu

Esquire Korea included Geumdwaeji Sikdang in a 2023 list of restaurants visited by BTS Jimin, reporting that he had been seen there with other members. That supports a Jimin connection; it does not verify every idol name that has circulated in restaurant roundups.

The food case is much easier to document. The Korea Tourism Organization listing names nunkkon moksal, a carefully trimmed pork collar cut, as the signature dish. Bone-in pork belly and deungmoksal are also listed. If this is your first Korean barbecue meal, start with the signature cut rather than ordering every item associated with a celebrity post.

Address: 149 Dasan-ro, Jung-gu. KTO lists 11:30–23:00 with last order at 22:20, but check the restaurant's current notice before making a special trip. Barbecue is simpler with two or more people; solo diners should confirm the minimum order.

Hannam-dong Hanbang Tongdak: one chicken, shared at the table

This is not a polished idol-themed restaurant. The main order is a whole chicken stuffed with glutinous rice, dates, garlic, and licorice, then roasted over oak. The crisp skin and soft rice make more sense as a shared dinner than as a quick snack.

Visit Seoul calls the restaurant a food stop frequented by K-stars and specifically names Xia Junsu, Jang Keun-suk, Yuna Kim, Lee Jong-suk, and Han Hyo-joo. Those are the names supported by the official tourism article. Earlier versions of this guide attached other celebrities to the restaurant without a source, so they have been removed.

Address: 38 Daesagwan-ro 34-gil, Yongsan-gu. Visit Seoul's listing says service starts in the late afternoon and that Sunday is the regular closing day. Because that page was last edited in 2024, verify the current schedule through the restaurant link on the listing.

Yoojung Sikdang: the BTS-history stop

Yoojung Sikdang is the clearest fan-history stop on this list. Its connection belongs to BTS's trainee and rookie period, not to a recent sighting.

An official Visit Seoul BTS route says the restaurant fed the members during their rookie period near their practice studio. It also records black-pork dishes and hot-stone bibimbap among the orders associated with them. The interior now leans openly into that history, so this is the most direct fan stop of the five rather than a place to visit in hopes of seeing the group today.

A current Korea Tourism Organization listing gives the address as 14 Dosan-daero 28-gil, Gangnam-gu and lists black-pork stone-pot bibimbap, ssambap, kimchi stew, and cheonggukjang. It is a practical choice for one person because several dishes are sold as individual meals. Save the Korean name before leaving; small restaurant signs are easier to miss than a major attraction.

On 6.5: the celebrity link was an event

On 6.5 is a contemporary dining bar near Anguk that treats kimchi as the starting point for composed dishes rather than a side dish. It suits a planned evening in Bukchon more than a spontaneous celebrity hunt.

The evidence here is precise. Maeil Business Newspaper reported that On 6.5 hosted a 2023 PEACEMINUSONE × Nike event attended by G-Dragon, BTS RM and Jimin, Taeyang, Jo Se-ho, Lee Soo-hyuk, Jung Yu-mi, LE SSERAFIM members Kazuha and Huh Yunjin, and other guests. That was a private brand event. It does not establish that every attendee is a regular customer.

Address: 28 Bukchon-ro 1-gil, Jongno-gu. The restaurant's current reservation page includes an English booking option. Check the set-menu, drink, cancellation, and seating rules at the time of booking instead of relying on an old menu screenshot.

Jinmi Pyeongyang Naengmyeon: come for the broth

Jinmi is the least theatrical stop here. Pyeongyang naengmyeon arrives in a clear, restrained meat broth with buckwheat noodles. Travelers expecting a salty or spicy soup sometimes miss the point on the first sip; taste the broth before adding vinegar or mustard.

Esquire Korea's celebrity noodle roundup identifies Jinmi as John Park's favorite Pyeongyang naengmyeon restaurant and notes public endorsements from Kang Min-kyung and Sung Si-kyung. The stronger reason to choose it is still the restaurant itself. The Korea Tourism Organization lists naengmyeon as the signature dish, with eobok-jaengban, boiled meat, dumplings, and bulgogi also available.

Address: 305-3 Hakdong-ro, Gangnam-gu. KTO lists daily hours of 11:00–21:30 and a 21:10 last order. For a solo meal, noodles and a half portion of a side dish are more realistic than the large shared hot pot.

Which one should you choose?

  • For Korean barbecue: Geumdwaeji Sikdang.
  • For a casual BTS stop: Yoojung Sikdang.
  • For a shared, old-school dinner: Hannam-dong Hanbang Tongdak.
  • For a reserved evening near Bukchon: On 6.5.
  • For a focused local food experience: Jinmi Pyeongyang Naengmyeon.

Do not try to collect all five in one day. Geumdwaeji is near Yaksu, Hannam-dong Hanbang Tongdak is in Hannam, On 6.5 sits near Anguk, and the final two are in Gangnam but not next door to each other. Add the one that fits an itinerary you already have.

Before you go

Search with the Korean restaurant name shown in the table. Our NAVER Map English search guide explains how to save the correct branch and copy an address for a taxi. Hours, prices, reservation rules, and holiday closures can change; recheck them on the day rather than treating this article as a live directory.

If celebrity links are not important, the Taegeukdang bakery guide offers a different kind of Seoul food history, built around the place and its longevity rather than famous visitors.

Frequently asked questions

Will I see a celebrity at one of these restaurants?

Probably not. The connections above are historical or reported associations, and one is a private event. Visit for the meal, keep staff and other diners' privacy in mind, and do not photograph people without permission.

Which places work best for a solo diner?

Yoojung Sikdang and Jinmi Pyeongyang Naengmyeon have straightforward individual dishes. Geumdwaeji and Hannam-dong Hanbang Tongdak are easier to enjoy with company, while On 6.5 is the place to check booking and minimum-order rules before committing.
